After 40, Why Do You Workout?
What do you actually care about when it comes to your fitness goals? What's your why? Why do you train?
Check out this list and tell me what resonates, and what's missing.
Not Being Fat.
Not shredded. Just lean and not fat.
You want to take your shirt off at the beach and feel good about it. You want to eat mostly clean, have a drink on the weekend, and look like you take care of yourself. The goal is lean, strong, and in control. Move every day. Lift. Breathe. Stretch. Make decent food choices and you are on your way.
Not Dying.
Around 40 something shifts. You start doing the math. You want to be at your kid's graduation. You want to be that tough as nails grandpa. You want to stick around and retain the ability to do everything you want to do.
Strength training, breathwork, mobility, walking, running… all of it pays dividends on your healthspan. Not just how long you live. How well.
Not Getting "Old."
Bad posture. Shuffling around. A collection of aches that you've just accepted as part of the deal. Needing meds to function. Moving like you're fragile.
That's not inevitable. It's what happens when you stop fighting.
You want to be the guy who still moves well, looks the part, walks into a room with some presence. That guy just kept showing up. Starting and stopping is hard. Starting and then staying in a consistent rhythm is way easier.
Not Being In Pain.
Stiff back. Creaky knees. Tight shoulders. Stiff ankles. Pick yours.
These are often the result of decades of imbalance… pushing without pulling, loading without recovering, sitting without moving. Strength and mobility trained together, every session, between every set. That's what EVRMV is built for.
Not Wasting Time.
These are peak earning years. Peak family years. Your calendar is already a negotiation. The workout has maybe 30 minutes to justify its place in the day, and it better deliver.
EVRMV replaces rest periods with breathwork and mobility. You're never standing around. You get more done in less time, and you walk out feeling strong and loose instead of just beat up. Efficiency and balance is the whole point.
Not Stressing Out.
For a lot of guys over 40, the workout is the one hour that's theirs. The noise stops. The mental static clears. The stress gets burned off instead of carried home.
The breathwork inside EVRMV isn't just recovery between sets. It's a tool you take with you. Into the hard meeting. Into the difficult conversation. Into the moment when everything is too loud and you need to come back to yourself.
This is the list. If it sounds like you, you're in the right place.
